Always read the label! That’s the primary lesson learned from my time playing the iPhone game Doodle Jump. To quote Lima Sky the Developers of Doodle Jump – “be warned: insanely addictive. “ – That statement sums up my experience in one sentence.
Doodle Jump has a simple concept – jump from platform to platform, higher and higher up the screen. The higher you reach the more points you acheive. Ugly bugs, space ships and black holes provide a continuous challange on your progress up the screen. Don’t worry though, you can gather tools to help you acheive greater heights; just collect the jet packs and spring shoes along your journey!
The graphics in this game the are fun and well polished. The game play is addictive and is perfect for having a quick game on the train or in a lunch break. Once you pick it up you can’t put it down. I am always trying to better my previous score – at the moment I am stuck at around 25000 points, but I always seem to crack under the pressure! I think it has something to do with the very nifty way of dynamic display other payers scores from around the world at the side of the screen.
For £0.59/$0.99 this game represents excellent value for money – you will definately get a long play life from this game. It is a must have for every iPhone Gamer out there!
